SKUSSET (Simulated Strategy Evaluation Test)
SKU SSET® is a technique for optimizing the shelf assortment in a product category, using a desktop simulator. It can be used to assess the impact of myriad changes to the client's shelf, as well as to that of competitors.
How you can use SSET
  • Measure customer preference for hundreds of SKUs, priced appropriately for the retail outlet/channel under study
  • Incorporate customer preference ratings in an interactive desktop simulator that allows you to investigate the potental impact of changing the SKU composition of the shelf
  • Help you answer Tactical and Strategic questions, such as:
    • If I can add or remove 1 or 2 SKUs, which will be most likely to optimize my brand's share?
    • If the competitive SKU lineup changes, which of several alternative responses is most likely to build my brand's share?
    • Which of several sub-line SKU strategies is most likely to build my brand's share?
